During my stay at the hospital, I frequently heard footsteps and voices.<\/p>\n
But now, even that was gone.<\/p>\n
The loneliness and emptiness upon being diagnosed with childhood cancer grew, and tears naturally welled up in my eyes.<\/p>\n
While I continued my recuperation at home, my mother told me that our neighbors had their grandson return from Tokyo.<\/p>\n

On a clear day, I went out on the terrace at home and gazed toward Ak-kun.<\/p>\n
Watching a dragonfly laying eggs in a puddle, I sensed the arrival of summer.<\/p>\n
