[Mental care] Cancer treatment that is gentle on the mind and body<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t think it’s appropriate to use the term “miracle” lightly.<\/p>\n

I was miraculously able to detect osteosarcoma early, and miraculously the resection range was narrow, miraculously, my right leg was not amputated, and my life was connected.<\/p>\n

In the era when I was diagnosed with childhood cancer, the word \u201cmiraculous\u201d might be appropriate.<\/p>\n

This time, I, who experienced such a miracle, developed childhood cancer, had surgery, was hospitalized, received anticancer treatment, went to the hospital for follow-up, and underwent home treatment.<\/p>\n

I would like to write what I think about [cancer treatment that is gentle on the mind and body].<\/p>\n

At that time, I was diagnosed with childhood cancer when I was 10 years old, but the period from examination to surgery was very short, and I had surgery within about a week from the first consultation.<\/p>\n

My doctor explained to my parents that, in the case of childhood cancer, cancer cells proliferate quickly, so there is concern about the expansion of the onset site and metastasis to other sites.<\/p>\n

In my case, my doctor told me that I should have surgery as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

In order to stop the proliferation of cancer cells, it depends on how early surgery can be performed.<\/p>\n

However, if the patient is a child, especially a child of elementary school age or younger, the mental burden is very heavy, and there are things other than surgery that must be considered.<\/p>\n

That is “Nestle”.<\/p>\n

Even adults who have experienced many things feel lonely when they are hospitalized. will be<\/p>\n

Not to mention children with little life experience.<\/p>\n

As a childhood cancer survivor, I can say for sure.<\/p>\n

What is needed for pediatric cancer patients in such a situation is to be close to them.<\/p>\n

What I really want is the support of my parents.<\/p>\n

Therefore, parents should be close to their children so that the child’s mental burden is lightened even a little.<\/p>\n

You don’t have to do anything. It’s just that you snuggle up to your side, that’s all, your heart is calm and mentally stable.<\/p>\n

In my case, I always had my mother on my side. I remember being very happy.<\/p>\n

I was able to forget about cancer while my mother was by my side.<\/p>\n
