Osteosarcoma Survivor Dancer

∽∽∽∽∽Self-introduction∽∽∽∽∽∽∽∽

I am a former professional dancer.

Believe it or not, despite developing osteosarcoma at the base of the right foot

About 20 years after the onset of osteosarcoma, I became a professional dancer.

No, the people around me would have thought that I couldn’t believe it.

I developed osteosarcoma at the base of my right foot in the summer of 10 years old.

From the area of the lower abdomen to the base of the foot, it looks abnormally swollen,

It was suspected that the metastasis of cancer cells had spread over a wide area.

The doctor in charge seems to have expected a desperate result from my condition.

Therefore, it seems that amputation of the right foot from the base was also considered in the surgical plan.

My doctor explained to me about amputation of my right leg and confirmed my consent.

Amputation of the right leg will have a huge impact on my future life.

If my right leg was amputated at that time

Life experiences now and up to now may have had completely different results.

Having a chronic illness, I have always admired the so-called sportsman type who can exercise.

And he was convinced that the only way to get that body was to go to a sports gym.

I have been going to this sports gym since the spring of this year.

I joined a sports gym with a membership card with a membership number of 300 and a large sports bag.

A solid male and female sports instructor welcomed me there.

The ideal body instructor also had a very refreshing smile.

I was confident that I could transform into the ideal sportsman type.

I went to the gym every day from the first day.

It was always exciting to walk about 10 minutes from my apartment.

On weekends, when work was off, I went three times a day (morning, afternoon after lunch, and night after dinner) and became a complete regular.

I used to go that way, and I had my instructor remember my face and name, and I was able to talk to him frequently.

When I first went to the gym, I trained silently on a number of machines, but I couldn’t go to the dance studio or the pool.

I haven’t been exercising properly so far, and I didn’t have the courage or opportunity to enter that area.

Especially in the dance studio, it seemed that only some members used it,

On days when there were too few studio users, a dance instructor called out to members outside the studio to invite them.

However, everyone was reluctant to participate in the studio.

I wasn’t invited because I dared to use a machine some distance from the studio.

From a distance, I was envious of the members who were exercising lively with hard and bold movements in the dance studio.

In this way, about a month after I started going to the gym, the day finally came.

I made my debut in a dance studio.
