ぼく、海に帰るよ。

ママ、もうそろそろ出発するね。

まさくんは、ママにそう言って、

うつむきながら、荷物を片付け始めた。

定かでない子供の行き先にママはとても

不安を感じていた。

しかし、我が子が決めたこと。

そして、今日、自分の子供が行ってしまうこと。

ママは覚悟を決めていた。

我が子が選ばれし者となったことを、

そして、

ママは悲しみを抑えていた。

我が子が今日行ってしまうことを。

Masa said this to his mother, lowered his gaze, and began packing his things. His mother was deeply anxious about her child’s uncertain destination. But it was her child’s decision — and he would be leaving today. She steeled herself. She held back her grief at the fact that her child had been chosen, and that he would go away today.
