ほっし校長 光に導かれるように、まさくんは、
その大きな貝に乗った。
大きな貝はまさくんを飲み込んだ
「グォッー、グワァー」
大きな唸り声と共に、大きな貝は
大海原の波のなかに消えていった。
まさくんは、いろんなことを思い出していた。
みんなのこと、楽しい想い出、そして
悲しい出来事。
まさくんには、その想い出しか浮かばなかった。
みんなとは二度と会えない。そんな寂しさが
繰り返し、込み上げては消えた。
それから、どれだけの時間が流れたのだろうか。
まさくんは、寂しさや不安な気持ちよりも、
ワクワクの気持ちがだんだんと膨らんできた。
「なんだか、僕、冒険しているみたいだ」
まさくんは、これからどんなところに行くのかが、
とても楽しみになってきました。
瑠璃色の天井が明るくなったり、暗くなったり
まさくんが乗った大きな貝の様子が変わってきた。
「あっ、どこかに到着したのかもしれない」
まさくんは思わず叫びました。
「どうしたの？着いたの？」
すると、まさくんの心に誰かが語りかけてきました。
「お帰りなさい。」

Drawn by the light, Masakun climbed onto the large shell.
The great shell swallowed him.
“Gwooo, gwaaa—”
With a tremendous roar, the shell vanished into the rolling ocean.
Masakun found himself remembering many things—everyone he knew, joyful memories, and sad events.
Only those memories surfaced for him. The thought that he would never see them again brought a loneliness that rose and fell in waves.
How much time passed, he could not tell. Gradually, though, excitement began to swell inside him more than sorrow or anxiety.
“Somehow, I feel like I’m on an adventure,” he said, growing eager to discover where he might be headed.
The lapis-blue ceiling brightened and dimmed, and the shell he rode began to change.
“Oh—maybe we’ve arrived somewhere,” Masakun cried out.
“Is something the matter? Have we arrived?”
Then a voice spoke into his heart.
“Welcome home.”
