These are the words from a mother who lost her beloved daughter to this illness.

Please remember that there was a girl in this world who bravely fought pediatric cancer.

Remember that my daughter lived.

Struck by these words, I decided to write this piece.

脳幹部グリオーマは、

脳の一部である「脳幹」にできる腫瘍（しゅよう）の一種です。

脳幹は、

脳と体の間の信号を伝える重要な役割を果たしていて、

呼吸、心拍、血圧、そして体の動きなど、

多くの基本的な機能をコントロールしています。

脳幹部グリオーマの特徴

1. 種類:

グリオーマは脳にできる腫瘍の中で、

特に「星状膠細胞」という細胞から発生します。

脳幹部グリオーマは、

膠腫の一つで、悪性（あくせい）のものが多いです。

2. 症状:

この病気の症状は腫瘍の大きさや場所によって異なりますが、

以下のようなものが一般的です。

– 頭痛

– 吐き気や嘔吐（おうと）

– 手や足の動きが悪くなる

– 視力や聴力の低下

– 言語の問題

3. 診断:

脳幹部グリオーマの診断は、

MRI（磁気共鳴画像）という検査を使って行います。

脳の詳細な画像が得られ、

腫瘍の位置や大きさを確認できます。
