この生きている足を
僕から奪わないでください。
病室のベッドの上
手術着の僕は怯え
何かにすがるように
もがき苦しみ
どうしょうもない人生の
定めに絶望感を覚えた。
わずか10歳の子供に何が出来ようか、
どこまでも試練を与えるのか、
それが運命とでも言うのか。
大人になった少年は
自身の体験を、他に置き換えて考えてみた。
辛い体験は、乗り越えたとき、単に多くの想い出のひとつとなった。
あの時は、確かに、
この世の終わり、のような感覚を覚えた。
辛い、辛い、しんどい、苦しい、
そして、「助けて」という言葉を吐き出す力も残っていない。
そんな状態で、吐き出す息と共に流れ出すように、
「助けてください」と発した。

As an adult, the boy reimagined his experience. Difficult trials, once overcome, become just another memory. Back then, it truly felt like the end of the world.
It was painful, unbearably painful, and I had no strength left even to cry for help. Yet, with the breath I could still force out, I whispered, “Please help me.”
